Q1 What are you doing now? |
I am a Lead Teacher at the Second Chance Program in the Redford Union School District |
Q2 How did the Science Fair change your life? |
I have won many science fair projects as a child and was even the chairman of the Science Club in my High School in Kenya. I have been recognized in the national Newspaper for my achievement and it changed my life by motivating me to become a science teacher. |
Q3 What did you like the most about the Science Fair? |
Meeting various people and the diversity of talents across the board. I always learn new and interesting things during the Science Fair. |
Q4 What career advice do you wish someone told you when you were younger? Career advise you wish to share? |
Follow your heart and do what makes you happy. Then put in your 100% and be prepared for failures. It is those failures that will make you successful in the long run. |
Q5 Any specific advice on becoming involved in Science and Engineering? |
I always encourage people to involve in such an event as it is a way to encourage the young generation and motivating them to better themselves. It is also a platform where we can all learn new things. |
Q6 What advice would you give to the participants? |
Be yourself and be professional. This is your chance to shine. Don't be afraid to say that you do not know the answer to a question that is being asked. |
