Tim Fino, PE
Q1 What are you doing now? |
Semi-retired (whatever that means). |
Q2 How did the Science Fair change your life? |
Perhaps the best experience was not winning with the first project, 'Sound Impact Relay' It challenged me on improving the design and operational aspects of it. It taught me to always be in a learning mode |
Q3 What did you like the most about the Science Fair? |
A chance to try new things. It forced adding a little structure into solving a problem by applying the scientific method. |
Q6 You have been the fair director since 1980 - thats 40 years! Don't you ever get tired of it? |
Part of it is 'giving back' to the community for the fun I had as a youth doing Science Fair projects. Yes, being Fair Director is time consuming - but seeing the new engineers and scientists with their glowing eyes and enthusiastic attitudes towards solving problems is very, very rewarding. |
