Q1  What are you doing now?
I am the CEO of an engineering company called Quantum Signal AI, where I have the pleasure of working with and leading a team of extraordinary individuals developing an array of crazy-cool solutions to some very hard problems. We are a subsidiary of Ford Autonomous Vehicles, thus working as part of a broader team to advance transportation for people and goods through robotics and related areas. This is absolutely mydream job, and I can't imagine doing anything else!

Q2  How did the Science Fair change your life?
I think participating in the Science Fair helped me understand the importance not only of being thorough and logical when pursuing scientific or engineering challenges, but also that it is extraordinarily important to learn how to communicate the importance and details of the work to interested parties. The experience of preparing materials for, and presenting to, dozens of judges and peers, and answering their questions about my projects, helped me become a much better researcher as well as preparing me for the work world. Everytime I give a talk, I think back on my days at the SEFMD and how that early practice helped shape me into the person I am today!

Q3  What did you like the most about the Science Fair?
I liked conducting the projects themselves, and exploring the areas that I chose to for my projects throughout high school. I also liked havinga hard date at which I would be required to present my work at the Fair and answer critical questions from judges (experts). This focused mywork and sharpened my organizational skills, something that paid off many fold in my career. Meeting other kids that had the same passion for science was also a real highlight.

Q4  What career advice do you wish someone told you when you were younger? Career advise you wish to share?
Find an area you are truly passionate about and pursue it. Know that if you work hard, use all of your talents, and respect and learn from other people, you will always achieve and be happy.

Q5  Any specific advice on becoming involved in Science and Engineering?
You get out what you put in - thus, if you put your heart and soul into it, you will go far. Science and engineering is an extremely rewarding path for those who seek to use their superpowers for good, make things better for people, and change the world. You cannot find a career path with wider impact - just ask Marie Curie, Jonas Salk, Nikola Tesla,Charles Darwin, Rachel Carson, and so many more!
