Science and Engineering Fair
The 15th annual MSEF will be held Saturday, April 4, 2009 at Kettering
University in Flint, Michigan. All
SEFMD senior division first-place winners will be invited to enter the State
Fair, and the fair will also be open to students from other areas of the state.
The purpose of the State Fair is to provide more students with the opportunity
to undertake science fair projects and competition; it also enables two
additional students from the state of Michigan
to compete at the International Science and Engineering Fair in May. Judges are
needed in the life sciences, physical sciences, engineering, and mathematics.
The tentative schedule for the day is:
8:00 a.m. Judges
Registration, coffee, and donuts
8:30 a.m. Judges
Orientation
9:00-10:00 a.m. Judges
Review of Projects (students not present)
10:00 a.m. – 12:10 p.m. Judging
with Student Interviews
12:10-1:10 p.m. Lunch
Break (lunch provided)
1:10-2:30 p.m. Judging
with Student Interviews
2:30-4:00 p.m. Judges
Caucus
4:00-5:00 p.m. Awards
