James T Battle Memorial Award


Jim Battle was the Operations Manager of the Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit for 35+ years. He was in charge of making sure the site was obtained, coordinating with the various companies to make sure that all aspects of the fair were covered.

The James T Battle Award  is presented to a 11th or 12th grade student that has demonstrated a long term interest in the Science Fair, dedication and a quest for knowledge. The student should have participated in at least two previous Science Fairs and have a thoughtful project that required creativity, ingenuity, and thoroughness. Each of the previous year’s projects will also enter into the selection process.

The award will consist of a certificate and a cash award.
