Science Fair 2024-2025 – what MUST be entered for competition and due dates (revised 10/3/2024)

 

ELEMENTARY DIVISION (grades 3, 4, 5) and JUNIOR DIVISION (Grades 6, 7, 8)

 

11/1/2024 – Student registration opens. Professional award self-nominations open.

 

 11/1/2024 – 2/14/2025 (11:59 PM):

(1)  Students complete the online registration process which includes personal contact information, parental release form, and project information (title category, research plan, abstract, bibliograph/references).

      Note: This information cannot be changed after 2/14/2025.

(2)  Any required SRC forms (for students who worked with animals, bacteria, human subjects, etc.) should be uploaded.

(3)  OPTIONAL items (if any) need to be uploaded by 2/14/2025 (11:59 PM):

     - PDF of presentation (MAX of 12 pages, MAX of 4 Mb)
     - Video Link (through YouTube) of presentation (max of 2:00 minutes)

                - PDF of lab book (MAX of 4 pages, max of 2 Mb in size)

                - Three additional photos

                - Simulation video

                - Quad chart

 

3/11/2025, 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM – Students bring a display board of their project to Huntington Place. The project must remain at Huntington Place for judging on 3/12/2025 and for the public viewing days on 3/13/2025 and 3/14/2025.

 

3/14/2025, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and 3/15/2025, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Projects may be removed from Huntington Place.

 

SENIOR DIVISION PROJECTS THAT REQUIRE PRIOR SRC APPROVAL

11/1/2024 – Student registration opens. Professional award self-nominations open.

 

12/1/2024 -Online Entry which includes personal contact information, basic

project information (title, category, research plan, bibliography/references), and parental release form.

Required completed SRC forms including Form 1, 1A, 1B and other forms as

needed.  All forms must be complete and submitted online.

 

2/14/2025, 11: 59 PM

(1)  Any revisions to Research plan or main entry form, along with the

completed abstract. Note: This information cannot be changed after 2/14/2025.

(2)  Upload SRC Form 1C and/or SRC Form 7 if appropriate

(3)  OPTIONAL items (if any) need to be uploaded by 2/14/2025 (11:59 PM):
