Due to COVID-19, a decision was made to change from an in-person  live event to a VIRTUAL Science Fair for 2020-2021.  Judging and awards will occur in the new virtual format.  We are in hopes of resuming the live event in 2022      SF Calendar now updated for Virtual Fair.

   Michelle Hua wins First Place in Robotics  ($5,000) AND Overall Best project in the world (receives $75,000!)   2 min video  1 min simulation video  WDIV story  SSP Release
   Margaret Yang wins First Place in Energy ($5,000)   2 min video
       (Cranbrook also received $2,000 for their Michelle's and Margaret's project)
   Team project of Angela Xu with Jonathan Chen and Ethan Chen with fourth place in Biomedical Engineering ($500)  2 min video

University of Detroit Mercy to provide $200,000 in scholarships this year to Science Fair Winners!  
University of Detroit Mercy is proud to offer five $10,000 scholarships to students competing at the 2021 Science and Engineering Fair of Metro Detroit. The scholarships are renewable each year for a maximum of four years of undergraduate tuition at University of Detroit Mercy.  Students may self nominate for these scholarships during the entry process.
